Love the machine, have 1 part that is always breaking!
By chemgirl (Modesto, CA) on Mar 19, 2009
I bought this elliptical in August of 2007. I don't know if I got a "lemon" or what. I have had the Idler (the seemingly only plastic piece in the wheel assembly) break 3 times!!!! It was replaced in 10/07, 11/07 and now it broke again 2 days ago.I really enjoy using this machine and the programs ... (Read more)

Smooth as butter
By Carl Sagan (El Paso, TX) on Mar 19, 2009
I fell in love with this machine from the moment I tried it out. You can really tell the difference in the smoothness of the stride as compared to our other ellipticals. The front flywheel design effectively prevents this machine from rocking. Overall, I am very satisfied with this machine.

Nice machine but currently being fixed
By Andy (WI) on Apr 9, 2009
I've had my elliptical for just under one year. I like how quiet the machine is. I wish the console had a book/magazine rack. Unfortunately the right handle grip has never been able to record the heart rate. And, two weeks ago, a bolt broke in half on the right back wheel. I have an Icon servic... (Read more)

Watch out for cracked frames!
By lpj97007 (Beaverton, Oregon) on Apr 23, 2009
Like another reviewer, my machine worked excellent for the first 18 months, after which a crack developed in the frame where the handlebars are attached. The unit was out of warranty, so it took $135 for a non-warranty service call to locate the crack, and now another $125 to hire a portable welder... (Read more)

Durable So Far
By scott (Idaho) on Apr 27, 2009
This unit has been durable so far. It's 2 years old, I'm 215-220 now and use it 3-5 times per week. Workouts last 20 to 40 minutes. The heart rate monitor does not seem to work well...one second it will be in the 40's the next second I'm pegging the fun meter. New battry doesn't seem to help.

The Best Elliptical I ever owned
By San Diegan girl (San Diego) on Jun 7, 2009
I love my machine! It's a great quality elliptical and the price is well worth it! The front wheel design seems to be so much smoother than the back wheel designs that I have tried in the passed. This is a big machine as I am only 5'3 and it's taller than me length wise. The workout programs on the ... (Read more)

Good Unit
By RDU3 (Bakersfield, CA) on Apr 5, 2010
We have had this unit for over three years and have been happy with it. The frame broke where the handles pivot within about 2 months but we welded it and put a reinforcing strap in that area and it has been great since other than normal wear and tear. Parts unfortanately are really overpriced and... (Read more)

Love it!
By Ang (Denver CO) on Jul 25, 2010
Had this machine about 4 years....got it new from NordicTrack. Still going strong, had to replace 1 part while still under warranty. Usage is about 4 times a week, minimum of 30 to 45 minutes each time. The key is it's mostly manual, therefore reliable and sturdy! Recommend it to anyone wanting ... (Read more)

Terrific unit for 18 months...
By Ken (Sarasota, FL) on Feb 11, 2009
The unit worked flawlessly for over a year. I used it 30 minutes/day four days/week. Over that period the frame gave way where the handles attach to the upright. It is in being welded to hopefully last longer this time. I believe it should have held up longer/better.

console looks different
By Old Luv (Henderson, NV) on Feb 12, 2009
Initially I was frustrated because the console on my machine didn't match what I saw on the site. That was about six months ago. Now the console image matches the elliptical I purchased. I guess they changed the console. I'm told they added programs to the new version which I have (at least it's the... (Read more)

It takes a long time to put together
By blue eyes (Ashland, VA) on Feb 12, 2009
the elite 1300 is big and it took a long time to put together. The sales person told me it would probably take 1 hour to put together and I clocked it at just over 2 hours. After that torture was over I tried the machine. It's as smooth as silk.I'd give it five stars if I would have been told an acc... (Read more)

Worth the wait
By Katlynn (Evansville, KY) on Feb 12, 2009
It took about 3 weeks to get it to my house becuase of some shipping errors...Now that I have it I love it. It looks pretty ominous with the big round part in front. It seems bigger than other ellipticals I have used. I thought it took a long time to put together but it wasn't overly difficult.I do ... (Read more)

Missing Part??
By airmay (San Francisco, CA) on Mar 2, 2009
Aside from waiting 3 weeks for the unit to be delivered, it took several hours to put it together and the console looked different than the model at the store or online, I do really like this unit. The only drawback, considering that it is a commercial grade unit, where is the magazine/book stand? ... (Read more)
